Nassau police conducting search for missing Lawrence girl, 13

Nassau Police have launched a search for a missing 13-year-old girl who was last seen walking away from her Lawrence home Monday morning.

Mireya Navarrete-Pichardo was reported missing at 10:10 a.m., less than two hours after she was last seen, police said.

The teen is described as Hispanic, 5-foot-4 and about 120 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes and a lip piercing. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing dark jeans, a black jacket, white and black sneakers and carrying a black school bag.
