Police searching for missing 15-year-old girl last seen in West Hempstead

Nassau County police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 15-year-old girl who has been missing since she was last seen Tuesday afternoon in West Hempstead.

Detectives said Litzy Escobar Martinez vanished about 1:30 p.m., and was officially reported missing about 20 minutes later.

The teen is described as Hispanic, 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing about 110 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Cops said she was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt and red pants. Her destination is unknown.
