New barber shop offers old-school experience in Stony Brook Village

|

From hot towel shaves to vintage barber chairs, the Village Barber is bringing that old-school vibe to Stony Brook Village Center. And it doesn’t just stop at the hair cuts.

Joe Vitale, one of the shop’s barbers, serenades his customers with throwbacks from Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin.

“People heard me humming these songs,”said Vitale, who has cut hair for over 20 years, “And they had me start singing.”

The new barber shop opened April 6 right next to Crazy Beans at 97 C Main Street.

“It is a beautiful town and beautiful location,” said Joe Vitale, who lives in East Patchogue.

The store is open seven days a week, Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
