The secondhand retail chain Savers will open its seventh Long Island location — and just its second in Nassau County — in Bethpage on Thursday.
And boy oh boy, are they ready to roll.
Greater Long Island got an early peek at the new 21,000-square-foot store, which is fully stocked with merchandise — including thousands of pre-loved items like clothing, accessories, home goods, electronics, books, and much more.
The Bethpage store, located at 150 Hicksville Road, joins other Long Island Savers locations in Centereach, Medford, Holbrook, Commack, West Islip and West Hempstead.
It will be open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Plenty to browse

Savers operates hundred of stores in the United States — and more in Canada and Australia, each focused on giving new life to used goods through a donation and resale model that supports local nonprofits.
The company estimates it has helped divert more than 3.2 billion pounds of reusable items from landfills in the past five years.
“We’re thrilled to open our new Savers in the heart of Bethpage and to be part of such a welcoming community,” store manager Frank Parrino said. “Our mission is to champion reuse and inspire a future where secondhand is second nature.”
Partnering with Big Brothers

The opening continues Savers’ long-standing partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island (BBBSLI), which provides mentoring programs for youth across the region.
Local residents can support BBBSLI year-round by donating gently used items at any Savers Donation Center on Long Island. To mark the grand opening, the Savers Value Village Charitable Giving Fund will donate $5,000 to BBBSLI.
Thrift shopping has seen a surge in popularity in recent years, particularly among younger consumers drawn to sustainability and vintage finds. Savers officials said the Bethpage location aims to tap into that growing movement.
