North Shore’s well-known Graffiti Boutique officially opens its door in Babylon Village

|

The decades-old local retail chain Graffiti Boutique, with locations in Elwood and Huntington, has officially made its way to the South Shore.

The third Graffiti Boutique location had its grand opening this past weekend in Babylon Village.

The boutique, which sells clothing to women of all ages, took over the former Health Alternatives space at 79 Deer Park Ave. and completely transformed it into a fashion-forward clothing shop with an industrial-chic vibe.

“I like the hometown U.S.A. kind of feel [in Babylon] which is different than a strip center,” a company spokesperson told GreaterBabylon. “It’s just such a good vibe, so we just want to bring what we do to the people and be a part of the community there.”

The boutique’s other locations are 1930 Jericho Turnpike in Elwood and 306 Main Street in Huntington Village.

The first Graffiti location opened in 1991. The merchandise ranges from the latest trends in clothes to a variety of accessories and shoes.

According to the shop’s website, the boutique’s buyers shop the Los Angeles and New York City fashion markets to find what’s all the rage in the industry.

The representative said Graffiti Boutique is its own private label, so a large bulk of the clothing is designed in-house.
