A Northport man is seven figures richer after striking gold on a New York Lottery scratch-off game.
Michael Kendrigan claimed a $1 million prize on the VIP Millions ticket and opted for a one-time lump sum payment of $651,000 after withholdings, New York Lottery announced this week.
Kendrigan bought the lucky ticket at the Hari Mahat shop, located at 216A Laurel Road in East Northport.
As of this week, there are still 14 unclaimed $1 million prizes and two $5 million prizes remaining on the VIP Millions game. Players can check the latest status of all New York Lottery scratch-offs at nylottery.ny.gov.
Northport company won playing same game
Northporters have had more than their share of luck playing the VIP Millions game this year. In January, employees of a Northport company, Eximia Victor Limited Liability Company, claimed a $1 million prize on a VIP Million ticket.
