“Northwell is extremely excited to open this beautiful building,” said Daniel Sciubba, MD, senior vice president, Neurosurgery, Northwell Health and acting chair of neurosurgery at SSUH. “This location is another demonstration of Northwell’s commitment to specialized care within the communities we serve.”
This news comes less than two months after Northwell Health broke ground on a new, 190,000-square-foot pavilion coming to South Shore University Hospital. The approximate $468-million project will feature 90 private patient rooms, 10 additional operating rooms and three additional procedure rooms.
