The Brookhaven Town Board has approved a site plan for a new Old Navy store inside Rocky Point Plaza.
The store will take over the corner storefront previously occupied by Famous Footwear.
Known for offering affordable, casual clothing and accessories for men, women and children, including plus-size and maternity options, Old Navy operates more than 1,200 stores.
In Suffolk County, Old Navy has locations in Riverhead, Lake Grove, Shirley, Bohemia, Bay Shore, Commack, Huntington, Deer Park and West Babylon.
Located at the intersection of Route 25A and Rocky Point-Yaphank Road, Rocky Point Plaza is anchored by Kohl’s and also includes Walgreens, Subway, Philly Pretzel Factory and Michaels. Additionally, the Rocky Point post office is in the shopping center.
An opening date for the new Old Navy has not yet been announced. The store is currently looking to hire an assistant manager.
