The 28th annual Patchogue Christmas Holiday Boat Parade floats again this weekend along the Patchogue River.
The event is ran by the Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce and the Patchogue Riverfront Committee. This year’s theme is “A Winter Wonderland.”
Festivities kick off on Saturday, Nov. 19, with a preview of the decorated boats docked at both Off-Key Tikki and Harbor Crab Co. from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The parade is on Sunday, Nov. 20, at 6 p.m.
During the preview Saturday, visitors can check out the boats up close and vote for their favorites.
On Sunday, the winner receives the People’s Choice Award.
There are plenty of free public viewing spots along the Patchogue River to watch boats sail in from the Great South Bay, including Sandspit Marina at the Davis Park Ferry Terminal and the Fire Island National Seashore Watch Hill Ferry Terminal, as well as all the waterfront restaurants — Off Key Tikki, Harbor Crab Co., The Oar Steak & Seafood Grille and Drift 82.
See the preview for the event below.
