Patchogue hosting a record number of ribbon cuttings in April

|

Seven new Patchogue businesses will celebrate their official grand opening this month, marking a record number of ribbon-cutting events in a month for the Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce.

The line-up includes Chops Steak House (which hosted its ribbon cutting April 8), Dirty Taco and Birdies.

David Kennedy, executive director of the chamber, called it a significant moment for Patchogue because it shows the community’s growth and strength through the pandemic.

“It’s no secret the last two years have been tough for everyone. This certainly includes small businesses,” Kennedy said. “Like every downtown, Patchogue lost some great businesses during the pandemic, but as we come out of the pandemic, those vacant spaces are being filled with new businesses very quickly.”

Below is the official list of upcoming ribbon-cutting ceremonies happening this month.

All celebrations are from 5-7 p.m., with ribbon cuttings happening at 6 p.m.:

  • April 13: Freshly Cut Films (8 West Main St., Second Floor)
  • April 14: Jardin Café (90 East Main St.)
  • April 18: Ruta Oaxaca (30 East Main St.)
  • April 19: Dirty Taco & Tequila (17 North Ocean Ave.)
  • April 21: Birdies (17 North Ocean Ave.)
  • April 27: Tiesto’s (411 West Main St.)
  • April 30: Beauty + Chic Boutique (56 Medford Ave.)

“The fact that this April we will host the most new business ribbon-cutting events ever is a great sign downtown Patchogue is rebounding strong,” Kennedy continued.
