Police said a medical episode may have led to a single-vehicle crash in Coram that killed a Patchogue man on Friday.
Michael Vogt, 63, was driving a 2012 Hyundai northbound on North Ocean Avenue when the car crashed into the center median about 2:58 p.m., Suffolk County police said.
Vogt was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Detectives believe he suffered a medical episode before the crash.
The Hyundai was impounded for a safety check. Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to call 631.854.8652.
