As part of his authority during the current local emergency order, Patchogue Mayor Paul Pontieri has suspended all parking meter fees in the village until further notice.
This also applies for on-street parking, which, among other things will allow people to grab curbside pickup from local restaurants.
Many, if not all, of the restaurants in Patchogue are offering delivery, curbside pickup or both.
Some are offering discounts on all delivery or pickup.
“Obviously our chamber’s downtown businesses are grateful for this,” said David Kennedy, the executive director of the Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce.
“No reason to worry for your takeout needs!”
