Patchogue’s Great South Bay Music Festival is cancelled, yet again

|

Continued safety concerns related to the pandemic are forcing yet another summer in Patchogue without the Great South Bay Music Festival.

Festival organizer Jim Faith posted to the GSBMF website this week, saying the festival “will not be able to take place this year.”

The last event was in 2019. Last year spring Faith said much of the 2020 lineup would be performing in 2021 instead.

Now it’s getting pushed off once again.

“The disappointment we feel … is maddening,” he wrote, “but the health and safety of our attendees, artists, fest workers and community is our top priority.” Visit greatsouthbaymusicfestival.com for the complete statement, and for updates.

Faith and his team are working on rebooking the same acts for July 7-10, 2022, including Third Eye Blind and the Mighty Mighty Bosstones.
