Patchogue’s Hero Joint launches breakfast, with massive sandwiches

Hero Joint Breakfast

Come early. And come hungry. Because these breakfast sandwiches are massive.

Hungrymans. Bacon, egg, and cheeses. Even signature creations, such as The Spicy Presidente (that’s three eggs scrambled or fried, bacon, cherry peppers, chipotle mayo, and pepper jack on a hero).

You can also build your own breakfast hero.

It’s all available at The Hero Joint in Patchogue, located at 74B E Main St., near the rear entrance to the library.

The specialty sandwich shop announced this week the introduction of a breakfast menu — and breakfast hours.

“I’ve always wanted to see how we could expand our craft and offer an even wider array of sandwiches, and customers have been asking we open for breakfast,” said the shop’s owner, John Murray, III.

So Murray is delivering, and in a big way. Take the Hungryman. That includes three eggs scrambled or fried, bacon, sausage, ham and hash browns on a hero roll.

“Some places might just give two meats, but we do all three: sausage, bacon and ham,” he said.

Aside from the breakfast sandwiches, Murray says he’s also sourced “some great, premium local coffee.”

For now, breakfast hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 to 11 a.m. There’s also a Hero Joint location in Bay Shore, where they’re also serving breakfast.
