Patchogue’s Sequoia Deli to close on Waverly Avenue

|

After six-plus years operating in Patchogue, Sequoia Delicatessen & Caters will be closing down, greaterlongisland.com has learned.

After rumors swirled of its closing, workers behind the counter confirmed the deli on Waverly Avenue will be shutting down, most likely by Saturday or when they “fulfill their holiday catering orders.”

As of right now, a sign hangs at the front door that says the deli will close every day by 3 p.m.

Originally opened as Seaqua Deli & Catering in 2016, the shop changed names to Sequoia Deli & Caterers last year. It’s located in the former home of the Milk Depot.

Like many delis on the island, Sequoia prided itself on serving sandwiches, wraps, salads and a variety of catering dishes.
