A banner has been put up over the old Barn Door 49 restaurant signage in Bay Shore announcing Pecado Mexican is on the way.
Pecado took over the former Barn Door 49 located at 49 West Main Street earlier this year.
Ownership has since been overseeing the revamp of the old space, and announced today the restaurant will be opening “soon.”
Owner Ian Coughlin told Greater Bay Shore last month that Pecado is going to be a great gathering place for anyone and everyone.
“We’re going to offer high-end authentic Mexican food in a casual atmosphere,” he said. “You can come with your colleague from work for lunch, come here with your partner for a dinner date or you can bring your grandparents.”
Pecado Mexican will be offering a sophisticated but casual, dining experience, according to Coughlin, complete with a brunch menu, tequila lounge (featuring over 200 types of tequila) and salsa lessons at night.
