Photo tour of Castaways, Port Jefferson’s new steak and seafood restaurant

|

Port Jefferson’s newest restaurant, Castaways, is now open for business Down Port.

The establishment launched last week in the Old Village Way spot at 106 Main Street and will have its grand opening on Wednesday, Feb. 21.

The 2,900-square-foot space has undergone a complete overhaul, with comprehensive renovations that began this past summer — but don’t worry, they kept the boat facade.

Castaways, which offers steak and seafood options, is operated by the Silver Lining Restaurant Group, also known for Drift 82 and Chops Steakhouse in Patchogue.

Patrons can expect a variety of seafood options, such as Chilean sea bass, scallops, and mahi-mahi, alongside some of Chops’ best-selling cuts.

“We want everyone to come down and see what we have to offer,” said co-owner John Sarno, whose company also operates three Village Idiot pubs in Suffolk County.
