Earlier this year, the Suffolk Sports Hall of Fame welcomed new leadership.
And its new executive director, veteran journalist and author Chris Vaccaro got right to work on changes.
“We have a new logo, new website, new social pages. Everything is fresh, new, modern and progressive,” said Vaccaro, who also teaches journalism.
One of the biggest tasks was taking over the Hall of Fame’s annual induction ceremony.
“This year’s class is well-balanced, very diverse,” he told Greater LI Sports. “It’s just an unbelievable class with a lot of people who have done amazing things from when high school until their adult lives — which is beautiful.”
This year’s ceremony was held at Watermill Caterers on Thursday.
