Frigid temperatures over the past week have caused several bodies of water across Long Island to freeze.
One such location is Lake Ronkonkoma, which is partially frozen. On Friday, some visitors took to the ice for iceboating on the lake.
Greater Long Island stopped by the lake, located in the Town of Islip, to capture photos of its frozen surface.
Note: The Town advises against venturing onto the ice. Signs posted around the lake read, “Danger: No Skating. Keep Off the Ice.”
