Planet Fitness now open in Holbrook; grand opening set for April 30

Planet Fitness is marking the recent opening of its newest Suffolk location in Holbrook with a grand opening event later this month.

The new gym, now open every day at 5705 Sunrise Highway, is hosting its celebration on Thursday from 4-6 p.m. The event will feature limited-time membership deals, giveaways and community promotions tied to the launch, the company said.

Officials detailed that the event will include a one-day offer of a free first month for anyone who signs up in person, along with a raffle for a one-year PF Black Card membership.

Attendees can also receive free guest passes, spa amenity coupons and samples from local vendors. WBLI-FM/106.1 is helping to host the kick-off event.

The 19,000-square-foot facility features cardio and strength equipment, functional training areas and a Black Card Spa equipped with recovery-focused amenities, such as massage chairs, HydroMassage, tanning and Total Body Enhancement.

As part of the opening promotion, memberships are being offered at $1 down and $15 per month with no commitment.

The Holbrook site gives Planet Fitness 19 locations in Suffolk County. Other Planet Fitness gym locations nearby include Patchogue, Medford, Lake Ronkonkoma and Shirley.

The chain has more than 2,800 sites across the globe.
