Update: Police said July 15 that Robert Weber has been located, unharmed.
Suffolk police have issued a Silver Alert for a missing Yaphank man with early onset dementia.
Robert Weber, 69, a resident at The John J. Lynch Veterans Place, located at 32 Mill Road in Yaphank, was reported missing July 4 after last being seen at 2 a.m. today.
Police described Weber as white, about 5 feet, 2 inches tall and 120 pounds. He has brown hair, brown eyes and facial hair.
Weber is known to frequently smoke cigarettes and may have been wearing a tan jacket when he left the veterans center.
Anyone with information on Weber’s location is asked to call 911, or the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.
