|

Marine cops rescued a Holbrook man and his dog early Tuesday from the bay near Mascot Dock and Marina in Patchogue, police said.

Ethan Brako, 20, was crabbing at Mascot Dock and Marina when his 2-year-old pit bull, Brina, jumped into the water at 3:26 a.m. Brako leapt in to assist the dog, but he was unable to exit the water.

Suffolk Police Marine Bureau Officers Kyle Profit and Tyler Mankowski-Hassett were aboard Marine X-Ray when they responded to a 911 call about the man and the dog.

The officers responded to the scene and quickly rescued Brako and Brina, who were not injured.
