Port Jeff cancels Fourth of July fireworks, parade

Port Jefferson’s annual Fourth of July firework show and parade is canceled this summer due to the global pandemic, village officials informed GreaterPortJeff.

Like Port Jefferson, a majority of Independence Day festivities across the state — and nation — have been called off due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The nearest confirmed firework display to Port Jefferson will happen at Southampton’s Shinnecock Bay on July 3 at 9:15 p.m. The show is a collaboration with Southampton Fresh Air Home and “Fireworks by Grucci”. Click here for more info.
