Get some holiday shopping done while enjoying a complimentary beverage.
That’s the idea behind the Village of Port Jefferson’s first Holiday Shop & Sip event, set for Friday, Dec. 13.
From 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., shoppers will receive a free drink, which could be a glass of wine, hot cider or hot cocoa — each business will be giving a different drink away.
The event is a collaborative effort sponsored by the Greater Port Jefferson Chamber of Commerce, the Port Jefferson Business Improvement District, and the Port Jeff Retailers Association.
“We’re hoping to do this every year,” said Steve Muñoz, of the area’s retailers association.
