Rainbow Scoops in Manorville holds its grand opening event on Friday

|

Rainbow Scoops in Manorville is set to host its grand opening on Friday, June 17, at 1 p.m.

Owners Evelyn and Rich Morales, who also operate Rainbow Rolls in Center Moriches, said their new store offers scoopable ice cream, milkshakes and the main attraction: cotton candy burritos.

The new shop is located 460 County Road 111, inside the King Kullen shopping center near the Long Island Expressway. It has been open for business since Monday.

Evelyn Morales previously told greatermoriches.com that the couple wanted to expand beyond rolled ice cream and provide more options for their customers.

A Rainbow Scoops cotton-candy burrito consists of three scoops of ice cream and three dry toppings, all wrapped in cotton candy. It can be shared between two to three people.

“Once you bite into it, it surprises you so much,” she said. “You would think it was just way too sweet, but it’s really not. It’s really delicious, everybody has to give it a chance.”

Try them out this Friday in Manorville. For updates, follow Rainbow Scoops on Facebook and Instagram.
