Retailers team up for June 14 fashion show at Patchogue’s 89 North

|

Two Patchogue retailers are getting set to co-host a night of fun and fashion at 89 North Music Venue to raise money for good causes.

Thred and Say More Boutique will be jointly presented “The Show” on June 14, a Thursday.

Blum’s of Patchogue will also be showcasing summer fashions that night.

“It’s really fun for people to go out and enjoy a night, as well as raise money,” said Thred’s owner, Merav Shiloni. “So, myself and Jennifer at Say More Boutique decided to join forces.”

“We have a DJ, food, so it will be like a party,” Shiloni said.

Thred will be displaying fashions for men and women and donating proceeds to Pink Aid Long Island, a nonprofit that helps underserved women survive breast cancer treatment.

Shiloni already has breast cancer survivors lined up to walk the runway.

Jennifer Poppiti, the owner of Say More Boutique, will be displaying women’s fashions at The Show, with proceeds going to Guardians of Rescue, an animal advocacy group based in Smithtown that operates across Long Island.

Poppeti had previously served as a volunteer at Guardians and other rescue groups on the island.

“We wanted to do a show and do something fun, but we wanted to do it for a worthy cause and for something that was dear to our hearts,” Poppeti said.

Attendees will also get discounts at Thred and Say More after the show.
