Funeral Mass set for Wednesday, Oct. 14, in Ronkonkoma for the Rev. Peter T. Liu

The Diocese of Rockville Centre is asking the faithful to pray for the Rev. Peter T. Liu, who died Monday, Oct. 5.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, at the Church of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, located at 800 Portion Road in Lake Ronkonkoma.

A vigil Mass will be held there Tuesday, Oct. 13, at 7:30 p.m. That will follow an afternoon wake at the church on Tuesday.

Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Coram. Moloney’s Lake Funeral Home in Lake Ronkonkoma is handling arrangements.

The diocese announced Liu’s death and the funeral arrangements in a notice posted to its website.

The diocese’s notice closed with the traditional Catholic prayer for the dead, asking that his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace.
