Police arrested a Riverhead man in connection with three recent burglaries at local businesses, cops said on Wednesday.
Riverhead Town Police said that officers responded to a reported break-in nine days ago at East End Arts, located at 133 E. Main St. As detectives were still investigating that incident, law enforcement on Tuesday responded to another burglary reported at La Cascada, 1352 E. Main St.
A follow-up investigation led to the arrest of Maurice Nash, 56, of Riverhead, who police report is responsible for both break-ins. Detectives later determined Nash had also committed a prior burglary at Little Lucharitos, 487 Main Road in Aquebogue.
Nash is charged with three counts of third-degree burglary, police said.
Meanwhile, Riverhead Police are continuing their investigation. Anyone with additional information is urged to contact the police department at 631.727.4500.
