Police in Suffolk are on the hunt for a 23-year-old Rocky Point man who is wanted in the murder his father at home this weekend, police said on Sunday.
Cops are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Matthew Zoll, a suspect in the stabbing death of 61-year-old Joseph Zoll, authorities confirmed to Greater Long Island.
Matthew Zoll is described as white, 6-foot-1 and about 150 pounds. Authorities released two photos of the son, noting further that he has brown hair, brown eyes and a small scar under his left eye. Police said he likely does not have access to a vehicle.
Stabbing reported early Saturday
Officers responded about 1:25 a.m. on Saturday to a report of a stabbing at 30 Quail Road. Upon arrival, they found Joseph Zoll with stab wounds. He was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Joseph Zoll worked for the USPS
Joseph Zoll was a carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Riverhead since 2014 and worked previously for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, according to bio information on his Facebook account.
“So proud,” he wrote, while sharing a photo in 2019 of him and his son, dressed in cap and gown for his high school graduation.
Victim was a father of four
Joseph Zoll has three other children — a son and two daughters, according to his Facebook page.
“I don’t care how poor a man is; if he has family, he is rich,” the Queens native listed on Facebook as his favorite quote.
