Ronkonkoma’s Annual Labor Day Weekend Street Fair returns this summer

|

After canceling last year’s event due to COVID-19 concerns, the Ronkonkoma Chamber of Commerce confirmed that the annual Labor Day Weekend Street Fair is happening this summer.

The event will be held Sept. 5 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Hawkins Avenue in Lake Ronkonkoma.

Chamber president Kevin Hyms said they expect a strong demand from vendors who wish to participate this year, as well as a record number of attendees.

In 2019, the street fair drew in over 200 vendors and 15,000 festivalgoers.

He said the annual tradition is a great way to showcase the Ronkonkoma Chamber of Commerce and its local small businesses.

“There have been a lot of inquiries from both vendors, local businesses, and residents so far this year,” Hyms said. “Both vendors are anxious to sell their products and recoup from the COVID pandemic and the community loves to participate in local events.”
