Scenes from the Blue Angels, Thunderbirds flyover in Stony Brook

At exactly 12:21 a.m. on Tuesday, the U.S. Navy Blue Angels and U.S Air Force Thunderbirds zoomed over Stony Brook University Hospital to salute frontline healthcare workers.

And photographer Chrissy Swain of Yellow House Images was in the perfect position to capture the demonstration at St. Georges Golf and Country Club in East Setauket. See the photos below.

The approximate 40-minute flyover began at the George Washington Bridge in New York City at noon, traveling next to parts of New Jersey and then to the south and north shores of Long Island. The planes finished the flight in NYC.
