A new adult boutique called Secret Expression is set to open later this month in Farmingville, bringing a modern sexual wellness retail experience to a space that has seen significant change over the past year.
The shop will occupy part of the building at 2400 North Ocean Avenue, the same site where Xpressions, a longtime adult clothing and novelty store, once stood before closing earlier in 2025.
Xpressions had been a local hot spot for lingerie, sex toys and adult novelties before its sale cleared the way for new concepts in the space, including Canna Blooms, a chic cannabis dispensary that opened in December.
Secret Expression co-owner Akash Jain said the idea behind the new store is to create an experience that goes far beyond what other adult boutiques have offered on Long Island.
“There is nobody that’s done it to the level that we are going to do it, as far as the ambiance, the atmosphere, and the experience that we’re going for,” he told Greater Long Island. “We put a lot of energy and branding into curating this — a one-of-a-kind experience.”
The shop will offer lingerie, sexual wellness products, herbal supplements and adult toys, with a focus on creating an inviting, comfortable space for couples.
Reducing stigma
Jain said the aim is to not only sell products but also help normalize conversations around sexual wellness and reduce stigma.
“You should feel comfortable in yourself when you visit our store,” he said.
The interior will have a “studio lounge” vibe with ambient LED lighting, relaxed seating areas and a design that encourages browsing and lingering rather than hurried shopping. Dressing rooms will be available for customers trying on lingerie.
Jain also said the ownership team envisions establishing partnerships with physicians and sexual wellness experts to possibly host pop-up events and offer educational guidance within the shop, expanding its role beyond a traditional retail outlet.
Secret Expression comes as part of a broader evolution at 2400 North Ocean Ave. Canna Blooms opened in early December, featuring high-end design that includes a massive LED feature wall and illuminated display cases.
Jain said he expects to announce the opening date for Secret Expression within a week.
In the mean time, local romantics should know that they will have an added shopping option for Valentine’s Day.
