Suffolk County Police are investigating the fatal assault of a 52-year-old man near a marina in Stony Brook Harbor early Monday.
Officers responded to 21 Shore Road around 3:40 a.m., where they discovered Christopher Millwater of Selden suffering from injuries consistent with violence, police said.
He was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Detectives with the Homicide Squad are asking anyone with information to call 631-852-6392 or submit tips anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential, investigators say.
