ShopRite to open in Port Jefferson Station this Friday

Port Jefferson Station’s new ShopRite is opening its doors this week.

A spokesperson from the grocery store confirmed to GreaterPortJeff they will be hosting a grand-opening ceremony on Friday at 9 a.m.

The soon-to-be-opened ShopRite is located at 5145 Nesconset Highway between TJ Maxx and Staples. The store will employ approximately 250 people.

The 68,000-square-foot supermarket is owned and operated by the Gallagher family, who opened a Lake Ronkonkoma ShopRite in August.

“We are very excited to bring ShopRite to Port Jefferson with the opening of this state-of-the-art shopping destination. This new supermarket is committed to providing low prices, outstanding service and health and wellness options to the local community,” said Charles Gallagher, president of Gallagher Family Markets. Charles and his wife, Judith, who also own and operate the ShopRite of Selden.

Following the launch, Port Jeff Station location will be open every day from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
