The holiday light display that dazzled Long Islanders at a Smithtown home has officially come to a close.
Jason Orsani wrapped up the festive season by taking down all 25,000 twinkling lights from his massive “Christmas Vacation”-themed holiday display on Tuesday, Dec. 31. The spectacle, which was even featured on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” drew widespread attention.
That's a wrap for the locally famous "Christmas Vacation" home on Long Island.

Located at 41 Sheryl Crescent, Orsani’s display faithfully recreated iconic scenes from the beloved movie. The centerpiece was a full-size replica of Cousin Eddie’s rundown, rusted RV, meticulously painted to match the film’s version. Orsani estimates over 2,500 came to visit the display over the month it ran.
Earlier in the season, Greater Long Island stopped by for a tour of the festive setup. (Scroll down to see photos.)
Looking ahead, Orsani is already planning for the 2025 holiday season. He told GLI that his third annual lighting ceremony is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 29, at 4 p.m. The event will feature DJ-spun music, a petting zoo, a bounce house, a choir, free hot cocoa, and more festive attractions.
