Building community, one conversation at a time.
That’s the idea behind Greater Bay Shore Chamber of Commerce’s new community initiative called ‘Coffee with the Chamber President.”
The series kicks off Monday, April 21, and runs from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Fire Island Vines at 17 East Main Street.
The plan moving forward is to then hold a monthly gathering designed to foster open dialogue and collaboration among local residents and business owners, according to chamber leaders.
The series is being spearheaded by the newly minted chamber president, Edward Fraser, and “aims to give the Bay Shore community a platform to voice their concerns, share ideas and actively participate in shaping the future of the area,” according to an announcement.
Each month, attendees will help select and discuss key topics that impact the community, working alongside the Chamber to develop actionable solutions.
“We want to hear your concerns. We want you, our Bay Shore community, to have a voice in selecting the topics that matter most and work alongside the Chamber to be part of the solution,” Fraser said in a statement. “This is about bringing our community together and fostering meaningful conversations to drive positive change.”
The first session will focus on brainstorming and setting priorities for future discussions. Space is limited to 75 attendees per session, ensuring an intimate and productive setting for meaningful dialogue.
The event is also free and open to all members of the community; Chamber membership is not required to attend.
Complimentary coffee will be provided by the neighboring Kismet Coffee, and the venue space has been generously donated by Angelo at Fire Island Vines, both proud members of the Bay Shore Chamber.

“Join us and be part of the conversation,” the announcement reads. “Together, we can build a stronger Bay Shore!”
