It’s about to be a paw-ty in Roslyn!
Gatto Pups and Friends, founded by comedian Joe Gatto and his wife Bessy, is hosting its second annual Holiday Paw-ty on Friday, Dec. 20, at The Ballroom at Hendricks Tavern, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The fundraiser will feature food, an open bar, music, and prizes. Don’t forget to dress in your holiday best! Click here for tickets to this festive event.
The Glen Head nonprofit, established in 2022, serves as a sanctuary and rescue for senior, disabled, and unwanted animals, providing them with a loving home for however long they have left.
“The Holiday Paw-ty is such a great event,” Gatto told Greater Long Island. “Last year was such a good time as we spent time eating, drinking and laughing with our supporters to raise money for the pups. “
Joe Gatto, widely recognized from the hit TV series “Impractical Jokers,” said he and Bessy were inspired to start the nonprofit because of their love for dogs, particularly those often overlooked in shelters.
The Gatto family, including their children Milana and Remington “Remo,” frequently welcomes furry senior into their home.
“There’s just something about them that, just giving them love and affection at the end of their lives, it just means so much,” Gatto told Pet Lifestyles Magazine. “You go to shelters and everyone just wants a cute little puppy. For me, adopting seniors was just the most rewarding thing ever.”
Gatto Pups and Friends adoption center is location at 723 Glen Cove Avenue in Glen Head. To learn more about the nonprofit and see adoptable dogs, click here.
