Levittown Animal Hospital is throwing it back this summer with a groovy anniversary celebration for the community and its furry friends.
The beloved animal hospital is celebrating 60 years of service to Nassau County with a retro-themed bash on Saturday, Aug. 9, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its facility at 2703 Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown.
Expect food, games, music, and plenty of fun for the whole family — both two-legged and four-legged.
The event marks six decades of compassionate veterinary care since the hospital first opened its doors in 1965. It was purchased in 1974 by Dr. Meyer “Mike” Kaplan and his brother Dr. Warran Kaplan, who helped transform the clinic into one of the premier veterinary facilities in the region.
Today, the tradition of excellence continues under the leadership of co-medical directors Dr. Sue Fischman and Dr. Olivia Drutjons, who are keeping the hospital on the cutting edge of modern veterinary medicine.
Levittown Animal Hospital is proud to be AAHA accredited and has earned “Best of Long Island” honors 12 times since 2012. The practice is known not only for its medical expertise but also for its commitment to treating pets like family.
