A new boutique ballet school in Sayville will soon give local children the chance to twirl, leap, and dream in an enchanted world of movement and music.
Tutu School, opening Sept. 3 in the Sunrise Plaza, is part of a national franchise with more than 100 locations across the country.
The wildly successful program was founded on the belief that “every child should know what it feels like to dance.”
Through Tutu School, little ones are introduced to ballet with a carefully crafted curriculum that blends technical instruction with storytelling and creativity. Designed by professional dancers and developmental specialists, the program ensures children learn at a pace that suits their growing bodies.
“We focus all of our energy on providing very young students with a magical introduction to ballet,” said Christine Campisi, owner. “Our curriculum makes sense for their development while nurturing their creativity and love of music and movement.”
Classes and more

Classes at Tutu School feature their signature Ballet Storytime, where children hear the tales of famous ballets and then dance parts of the story themselves. Teachers demonstrate steps, invite students to join in, and often add props to create the feel of a stage performance.
Beyond weekly instruction, Tutu School locations also offer ballet-themed birthday parties, day camps, and their own twist on the traditional recital: the Bravo Bash — short, sweet shows designed for families and friends.
“Teaching ballet to children is like opening a magical door to a world where sugar plum fairies are real, while also grounding them in a beautiful, graceful reality,” Christine said.
