Spot an Elf on the Shelf this season in Patchogue, score deal

|

The holiday favorite Elf on the Shelf will be “Elf ‘N Around” various restaurants and retail shops in Patchogue Village throughout the holiday season.

And in case you’ve been seeing elves and wondering, the Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce is behind the initiative.

David Kennedy, the chamber’s executive director, said a male and female Elf on the Shelf will visit two stores in the village each day until Dec. 23.

Each location will have a discount unique to their business, such as a special clothing sale, drink discount, or a free item when stopping by.

Next to the elf, there will be a stand with a QR code that patrons can scan with their phones for the special deal.

The promotion started on Nov. 28.

Visit the chamber’s social media pages on Instagram and Facebook to see where the elf is heading next, as well as some fun photos of Kennedy and chamber member Michele Cayea, dressed as the famous Santa’s helper.

Cardboard cutouts of the chamber member’s elves will be placed outside of each business starting Dec. 1.

“I think this is something we will do every year,” Kennedy said. “It takes a well-known aspect of the holidays and has a lot of fun with it, so I think this will be a new Patchogue tradition — our little Elf’n around Patchogue.”
