For the second year in a row, the Seawolves will compete for a national championship in the FCS playoffs.

Despite a heartbreaking finish to the regular season up at Albany, Stony Brook (7-4, 5-3 conference) was able to celebrate on Sunday afternoon when the selection committee granted the Seawolves one of 14 at-large bids to the playoffs. They join a record five other CAA programs in the field.

The loss did cost Stony Brook at least one home game, though. Instead, they will have to travel to Cape Girardeau, Missouri to face the Redhawks of Southeast Missouri State University (8-3, 6-2 conference), which finished second in the Ohio Valley Conference.

The game will be played this Saturday, Nov. 24, at 2 p.m.

It can be watched on ESPN 3 or heard on 103.9 FM LI News Radio.
