Former Stony Brook offensive lineman Timon Parris is now an Atlanta Falcon.
The 6-foot-6, 320-pounder was claimed off waivers on Sunday after the Washington Football Team released him. This move came as Washington trimmed its roster down to its 53 player limit ahead of the 2020 season opener this weekend.
Parris, a 2017 redshirt senior, appeared in four career NFL games with Washington last season.
Other SBU alums were part of transactions in the NFL on Sunday. This includes 2019 Stony Brook captain Gavin Heslop signing with Seattle’s practice squad and safety Chris Cooper being cut by the Falcons.
Not a Seawolf but a Port Jeff Station local, Army cornerback Elijah Riley was also added to the Philadelphia Eagles practice team.
