After a year of the pandemic, Suffolk County Correctional Facility will reopen inmate visitations starting March 23.
Suffolk County Sheriff Errol D. Toulon Jr. announced visits will be limited to non-contact, 30-minute sessions, and masks are mandatory.
Appointments will be required — walk-ins are not permitted as of right now.
The facility office will start making reservations on March 22.
“As the health and safety of inmates, visitors, and staff remain paramount during the COVID-19 pandemic, we want to ensure a balance between permitting visits with friends and loved ones while continuing to mitigate the spread of coronavirus,” the sheriff said.
Those who wish to make a visiting appointment or obtain more information should call 631-852-1894.
