Suffolk’s free Farewell to Summer Concert is Sept. 14 at Patchogue Theatre

|

The fourth annual Farewell to Summer Concert is all set for Thursday, Sept. 14, at Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts.

The Suffolk County-sponsored concert starts at 7 p.m. and is free to the public, though attendees much register ahead of time and show up with a ticket (details below.)

“This event has become a summer rite of passage for residents who have come to appreciate music entertainment in their own backyards,” said Suffolk County Executive Bellone. “I encourage everyone to come out, bring the family, and enjoy an evening of some of our favorite time-honored hits.”

This year, Tradewinds (pictured above in Bay Shore last month) will be performing hits from the 1970s to today, Bellone said.

Since 2014, nearly 4,000 tickets have been distributed for the September concerts, which in the past have been at Patchogue Theatre, Suffolk Theater in Riverhead, and the Pennysaver Amphitheater at Bald Hill in Farmingville.

IF YOU GO

Residents can obtain their free tickets to the concert by visiting www.patchoguetheatre.org or by calling the Suffolk County Office for the Aging at 631-853-8200. Seating is limited, and reservations will be made on a first come, first served basis.
