Port Jeff Brewing Company knows how to party midweek.
For the last eight years, the brewer has hosted live music every Wednesday from mid-May to late August.
This year’s summer series began on May 23 with a performance from the School of Rock.
“The response is tremendous,” said Port Jeff Brewing Company’s owner, Michael Philbrick. “It grows every year.”
The concerts happen in front of the brewery at 22 Mill Creek Road from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
The music is free and the performances are family friendly.
“The bands range in musical genres,” said Philbrick, “Some are from Long Island and some are not.”
Port Jeff Brewery expects about 400 attendees each Wednesday night.
“There are kids, there are dogs, there are families,” he said. “It is a great atmosphere.”
