Taïm Mediterranean opens location in Farmingdale; another coming soon to Plainview

|

Taïm is now serving up its popular Mediterranean dishes on Long Island.

The NYC-based company, which also has locations in New Jersey and Washington D.C., expanded to the island last week, opening a location in Farmingdale at 1024 Broadhollow Road.

Another Taïm is in the works for Plainview, with a grand opening planned for Sept. 29 at 397 S Oyster Bay Rd.

So who is Taïm Mediterranean?

Taïm began in the West Village back in 2005. The company is known for its made-to-order falafel and its hummus and chicken shawarma. Their falafel is gluten-free, and 80 percent of the menu is vegan.

And it’s all about authenticity for the Taïm team.

“To be truly authentic, you have to be a little bit obsessive,” said Phil Petrilli, CEO of Taïm. “We obsess over every detail that goes into our food, doing things like soaking our chickpeas for a full 24 hours to bring the perfect texture to our falafel and hummus and sourcing 18 herbs and spices of the highest quality from around the globe.”
