Lottery luck struck Long Island on back-to-back days this week, with two winning TAKE 5 tickets sold on consecutive days.
The New York Lottery announced that the 7-Eleven at 287 Jericho Turnpike in Floral Park sold the only top-prize winning ticket in the Wednesday TAKE 5 midday drawing and that 50% Off Cards & Gifts 960 Main St. in Holbrook sold one of two top-prize winning tickets in the state in the evening drawing on Thursday.
The holder of Wednesday’s winning ticket purchased in Floral Park stands to receive $18,272, while Thursday’s winner in Holbrook can cash in their ticket for $16,576.

TAKE 5 numbers are drawn from a field of one through 39. The drawing is televised twice daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Winners of game prizes of any amount can claim their money up to one year from the date of the drawing.
