Next stop, Ronkonkoma.

The rapidly expanding Tap Room is set to open a new location in the Station Yards development in Ronkonkoma, as announced by the developers.

TRITEC Real Estate Company and the popular gastropub/restaurant have signed a lease to occupy a 5,644-square-foot space within the development, situated at the LIRR station.

They are targeting a spring opening.

“Tap Room’s brand has been synonymous with quality, fun, and a welcoming community atmosphere across Long Island for over a decade,” said Steven D’Orazio, senior vice president at Colliers, who brokered the deal with his colleagues Maria Valanzano and Jake Horowitz.

The Tap Room currently operates in Patchogue, Bay Shore, Massapequa Park and Rockville Centre, with the last of those opening in December 2022 in Farmingdale. There’s also another location in the works in Jerhico, set for a launch this fall.

“Tap Room and TRITEC have both played pivotal roles in the revitalization of Patchogue and Bay Shore. We are excited to work together to establish Station Yards as a new destination for Long Islanders,” said Jimmy Coughlan, vice president at TRITEC.

Tap Room co-owner James Bonanno agrees, saying: “We are truly excited to bring the Tap Room to such a promising project and to participate in their vision for the Station Yards.”

TRITEC has been building out its Station Yard project in multiple phases, completing its first phase of 489 apartment homes, Alston Station Yards, in 2021.

This current development, which features 388 apartment homes, 70,000 square feet of retail space, 16,500 square feet of office and a public plaza, is expected to be complete by 2024.

In addition to the Tap Room, TRITEC has already secured deals with other businesses set to join Station Yards, including Great South Bay Brewery, Vespa Italian Kitchen & Bar, Poki Poke, Redfine Meals, with more leases in the works.
