The news: A company called Pop Star Pop-Up is launching a month’s worth of “Taylor Swift Dining Experiences” inside The Ugly Ducking restaurant in Long Beach, at 906 W. Beech St.
Why? Duh! The singer and songwriter’s inter-continental Eras Tour has dominated headlines since it kicked off March 17 in Glendale, Ariz., catapulting the pop star into absolute superstardom. Attendance records have been shattered, and Pop Star Pop-Up can cater to these loyal fans.
What’s happening? According to the organizers, the overall experience has been “Inspired by all of Taylor’s dynamic eras, Grammy-winning albums, and music videos.
“We have transformed our space to provide our guests with an interactive experience.”
The brunch and dinner experiences were each “inspired by all of Taylor’s favorite dishes” along with many photo stations, with her music blaring. Also, on Wednesdays, they’re hosting Swift-themed trivia nights.
How much? The dinner experience is offered Thursday through Sunday and each ticket includes a 90-minute reservation with a choice of entree and dessert ($40 pp).
The weekend brunch experience is served Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and each ticket includes a 90-minute reservation, with a choice of an entrée and unlimited mimosas ($50 pp).
The trivia nights will run from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesdays and will include a two-hour seating, main dish, dessert and a cocktail (plus, a chance to win prizes ($50 pp).
When? All of December, from the 1st through New Year’s Eve.
