That Meetball Place in Patchogue is now roping off a section of the restaurant on Friday and Saturday nights for birthday bashes and other special events called VIP parties.
The private VIP parties most often start at 7 p.m. and go to 10 p.m., but could be booked for longer.
An area of the restaurant closer to the sidewalk gets roped off for the VIP’s — for that private experience. The space also includes private access to the northern end of the huge bar.
Typically hors d’oeuvres are passed around, and the guests get special drink bracelets for an open bar. They could even pay to have the DJ come on earlier in the night.
After the party’s time is up, the ropes are removed and the guests get to wade into the crowd.
“We can give them that full-on Meetball experience, get them started earlier with the long, velvet ropes, and then they can dance the night away with everyone,” said executive chef Tom Fazio.
